Hello Family,

It’s been a while since I've given you an update this formal. This “new normal” is testing my bandwidth! I really miss the local gatherings we had in New Jersey. During these trying times, I’ve learned to appreciate the value of in-person fellowship more than ever. However, I’m also excited about the expansion of our church, for we now have new family members from around the world who've joined us. I hope you’ve been enjoying the online church experience. I'm so proud of our ministry team, and pastors, who keep driving us to new heights.

We are Now A Global Ministry

I never knew when we legally changed our name to Impact Church Worldwide in 2018 that it was prophetic. We've operated as simply Impact Church because our eyes were only on our local mission field. Now, God has lifted our eyes to receiving family from the north, south, east, and west (a vision my mother, Pastor Emma Salter, had many years ago). As it's been said, if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. I'm excited about the prospects of our training and releasing of pastors to serve around the world and to do ministry within their local context. I'm also excited for us to serve the needs of people wherever God sends us. We entered this season as one church in many houses in New Jersey, and now we are one church in many houses around the world. Thanks to your evangelism, we gather over 2,000 people online every Sunday. This expansion of our church would not be possible without your growth in the maturity of tithing. We've been able to maintain staff and invest in the technology we need to be an online church. Please don't read over that last part too quickly. We are a worldwide church, online, with a site in South Plainfield, NJ, and soon many other locations. This is intimidating, but it is so God.

Father's Day

This Sunday, we’ll have a throwback sermon that is perfect for the occasion entitled "A Godly Father's Heart." The Word God has given me provides a clear pathway to healing generations of fathers. Sunday, we will affirm and celebrate fathers, so make sure to share the news with the men in your life. They will be healed.

Juneteenth

Tomorrow is the celebration of Juneteenth, one of the oldest holidays in America. No matter where you live, you can celebrate Juneteenth since it a celebration of life, freedom, and the perseverance of Black people. To learn more about the holiday, I recommend you read this article by Dr. Henry Louis Gates. Next year, our church will do Juneteenth big time by hosting parades and bbq's around the country in a way that puts the beauty of Black culture on display.
