Bishop Salter Update- Now More than Ever, We’re a Tribe

Hello Family,

I know your heart is heavy at the news of yet another Black man gunned down by bad cops. This time it hit me worse than any other. I'm not sure why. I think it's the trauma of being considered an increased threat for "what you might do" just because of skin color. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, a 17-year white vigilante is offered a cold water bottle by police officers before he ends two Black lives. He is then arrested without harm because the white vigilante is not considered a threat. It is not just. God is not pleased with America.

This is the season for the faithful to remain faithful. While our country wrestles for a future with protest and politics, I sense God challenging us to pray even more fervently as a community. I know you are trying to secure your family's economic status, but I'm urging you to pay close attention to your family's spiritual status. I hope that Impact is part of God's remnant. The remnant is the unique name given to the Jews who were blessed to return to Israel to rebuild God's temple and their lives, in that order. Please understand, not all Jews returned, some chose to remain in captivity. Please see the picture. Regardless of the oppressor, or the oppression, when God has set a path, we have to choose to walk forward faithfully. I will be teaching more about this in the new series "NOW: How to tune-in to what God is setting up." Family, this teaching has been steeping for a while, and there are prophetic declarations and releases for you, so make sure you join us each week as we journey through the book of Zechariah. Many feel disoriented and displaced by this season, but I believe this series will help you recalibrate and rebuild your life.

Lastly, my heart is heavy for families with young school-aged children. Some don't have work from home jobs and must rely on childcare or in-person school to keep it all together. Even those who do have work from home jobs may not have the ability to monitor multiple children in class while attending to their bosses' demands. Every school district has a different plan. All I know is, we want to serve you this Fall. If you have school-aged children, please take 3 minutes to complete this short school needs survey so that we can develop a ministry action plan to help you get through this Fall challenge. As always, thank you for continuing to be generous toward the Kingdom and honoring God with faithful tithing. He is making this downturn our upturn!

Much love,

Bishop
