THE 2011VISION GIVEN TO BISHOP DE’ANDRE SALTER

In November of 2011, the Lord showed me thousands of seekers desiring a better life. Stuck in life and not moving forward, they came through the doors of the church house seeking hope, love, life-giving energy, and power. Upon being invited to one of our campuses they came to find a filling for their spiritual hunger, a stronger family, and yes, even prosperity. But what inspired them to return?

It was the light and obvious joy in the LORD of the disciples they met that inspired them to investigate Christ more closely.

In doing so, they come to know these disciples as leaders in their homes and the world. They feel the warmth of our church family. They observe and experience the confidence, humility, and relatability of our church leaders. They experience the presence of God in our worship. The messages preached from God’s Word changes them from the inside out.

They decide to surrender their life to Jesus. The church family celebrates and welcomes their new brother or sister into Christ and the family of God. They are glad and thankful to be part of this church family, so they never have to do life alone again.

Our new family members join small groups and enroll in discipleship classes, and with each, grow alongside the rest of us to be more spiritually mature and reap the blessings of the better life Jesus offers.

Many of our family members are career-minded workers, professionals, executives, and business owners who significantly influence the marketplace from a business point of view. But when they become one with Jesus and make the decision to join a service team with the church, their influence and business acumen empowers them to change their world, which essentially changes the world.

As members of God’s family grow more mature, many of them become team leaders, elders, deacons, ministry leaders—all walking in a heavy anointing to do ministry in excellence.

We are one house with many locations, passionate about our relationship with Christ. We are Spirit-filled, and God is providing us with significant influence. God’s favor is with us. We are prosperous people and good stewards of the blessings God showers upon us. We biblically manage our finances by tithing and by preparing to leave an inheritance for our children.

We take territory from the devil one area at a time. We are involved in the arts and shape culture. We use our accumulated resources and spiritual gifts to fund businesses, build low-income housing, and youth education programs. We have a full counseling center with fully licensed professionals to help families with grief, marriage, financial, and family counseling. The communities we serve are attached to our outreach work. They visit, become disciples, serve on a team, and then lead others.

The cycle continues.

That was my vision in 2011. In 2021, after enduring the Covid-19 pandemic and the flooding of our church by Hurricane Ida, the Lord confirmed this vision by sharing in a public prayer meeting that there would be generations of sons and daughters “after the flood.” We are now in that season, so this is still my vision in 2022. And beyond.

The Lord’s Servant,

Bishop Deandre Salter
